Located on Stationsweg, the gateway to the city centre of Leiden, you’ll find Café Visscher. At the helm is Arie Visscher, a down-to-earth Rotterdam chef who has earned his stripes in Michelin-starred kitchens such as De Librije and Joelia by Mario Ridder.

Together with his talented team, Arie prepares seemingly uncomplicated dishes that allow the ingredients to shine in their full essence, surprising you with flavours that delight. So, whether you’re here to enjoy our Eggs Benedict during lunch, stopping by in the afternoon for a glass of bubbles with an oyster at the bar, or joining us in the evening for a beautiful dinner with matching wines… If you’re someone who cherishes simple pleasures and holds a soft spot for bistronomy, you’ll feel right at home at Café Visscher.

Visscher’s opulent interior and the warm, inviting colours create an ambiance that transports you to a contemporary, cosmopolitan restaurant. We’re open every day from 11 in the morning until 23 at night, and in weekends, we’re open until 1 o’clock. This gives you the freedom to enjoy our terrace, conservatory, bar, or one of the charming nooks at any time of day!
